Storytelling

The British Isles is the home of a rich, forgotten mythology. It’s time for us all to remember.

Myth and Legend

Cerridwen. Arianrhod. Severn. Melusine. Scathach. Coventina. The British Isles are rich with ancient mythologies full of magic, warriorship and a play with power. And yet, most of us don’t know our own stories, searching beyond the island for a mythology that might make sense of us, and bring wonder back to our worlds.

Working with story

Talks, workshops, storytelling evenings — I work with facilitators and event organisers to bring old stories to new audiences, to invoke wonder, empowerment and a more nature connected way of being.

No Fair Maidens

A two-year project to unearth the oldest female-led stories in British mythology, spanning the Mabinogion and The Ulster Cycle, as well as Welsh, Roman and Cornish folklore. Book in progress.

“She begins in the bogs of the high moreland, a place not made for men, or habitation, or taming. She begins at the end of the longest night, in the melting cauldron, the fertile void. And in those first moments, she is already searching.”
